Collaborating and Desalinating

In Science, the Year 10s were challenged to create a working model of a desalination system. In small groups, students collaborated and followed the steps of the engineering design process. With support from Mr. Domenico and the Innovation Lab, they brainstormed ideas, sketched plans, gathered materials, and built their prototypes.

Despite the recent wet weather, students finally had the chance to test their models in the sunshine this week. Next, they’ll be collecting data and evaluating the effectiveness of their designs. Whose model will be the most successful? We’ll have to wait and see!
