10YO: Escape Room

10YO Escape Room

The 10YO classes have recently been using their Wednesday mathematics sessions as an opportunity to practice applying the 4C's: Collaboration, Creativity, Communication and Critical Thinking. Students have been participating in games and other hands on challenges to develop their mathematics skills in a fun and practical manner. This week students were able to participate in an Escape Room focusing on the theme of division. Students worked together to solve clues to help them find the correct combinations for a series of locked boxes. Having successfully 'escaped', the group debriefed their experience, highlighting the 4C's and how they applied to their learning. All 10YO students will have the chance to try to 'escape' in the next three weeks. A special thanks to Mr. Wood for leading the Escape Room initiative at TIS.
