What’s the Matter with the 10YO Class?

The 10YO students recently visited the high school Chemistry Lab, where Mr. Sargent welcomed them for an engaging, hands‑on lesson all about matter. Through a series of exciting demonstrations, students observed chemical changes in action: substances changed colour, produced smoke, shifted shape, and - much to their delight - were even safely blown up. Each demonstration showed how new materials can form when matter reacts, helping students see science come alive right in front of them.

Mr. Sargent guided them through each station, helping them connect their observations to the scientific ideas they’ve been learning in class and giving them a real taste of how scientists investigate the world around us.

So, what’s the matter with the 10s?
Only that they now want a chemistry lab of their own.
