🐞 A Glimpse into the 2YO Lily Class 🐞

What an insect-credible week we’ve had in Lily Class! 🕷️🐜🐞 The children have been busy exploring the fascinating world of creepy crawlies, using magnifying glasses 🔍 to take a closer look at real bugs like spiders, scorpions, and beetles. So much curiosity and communication as they shared their discoveries with one another! 💬

We put our critical thinking skills to work by sorting bugs into groups—those that fly 🦋 and those that crawl 🐛—and had wonderful moments of collaboration as we worked together.

During forest exploration 🌳, we searched high and low for bugs and had a worm-derful time moving like them—climbing, wiggling, and hopping like spiders, worms, and grasshoppers! 🕷️🦗 Such fantastic energy and creativity!

We are also becoming expert bug spotters, confidently naming and identifying over 20 different insects! 👏🐝

In STEM 🔬, we watched a very cool experiment where blue rain fell from fluffy shaving cream clouds ☁️💧—lots of “oohs” and “aahs”!

Adding to our growing bug art collection 🎨 (including ant sculptures and balloon bumblebees 🐝🎈), we created our very own bug fossils—future paleontologists in the making! 🦴

To wrap up the week, we talked about springtime visitors 🌸🦋—beautiful butterflies and pesky mosquitoes! We learned about sting prevention and aftercare, exploring things like citronella and after-bite stickers.
