3YO: Tiny Explorers, Mighty Thinkers: Experimenting in the Little Tulips Classroom

Little ones are natural explorers, constantly experimenting with the world around them. They learn best through hands-on experiences, using trial and error as they work through everyday challenges—whether it’s figuring out how to complete a puzzle, learning how to put their shoes on correctly, or discovering how to swing higher and higher. Each attempt helps them build confidence, patience, and problem-solving skills.

This week, the Little Tulips focused on experimenting and discovering how things work. Through play and exploration, the children learned that finding the right solution often takes creative thinking, curiosity, and perseverance. We explored a variety of exciting experiments, including mixing colors and observing how light changes them, blowing and catching soap bubbles, discovering how magnets attract and repel, and experimenting with static electricity. These activities encouraged the children to ask questions, make predictions, and express their ideas while having lots of fun.
