4YO: Building, Designing, Discovering: Hands‑On Learning in the Dandelions Classroom

The Dandelions have been putting their creativity and critical thinking skills to the test this week during the “I Build, I Create” unit. Students explored a variety of hands-on activities, including playing in a rainbow themed sensory bin, making 3-D paper sculptures, creating artwork under a table, and designing their own masterpiece on transparent film. When their film designs were placed on the projector, students were excited to see their images come to life on the big screen. Students learned about magnetism and were encouraged think outside the box by creating sculptures out of magnet tiles and various magnetic materials. These experiences encouraged students to share their ideas and proudly explain their creations to their peers. 🎨✨
