4YO: Busy, busy, busy!
Over the past few weeks, the Daisy class together with the Dandelion class have explored the exciting world of tools, construction, and creative building! Through hands-on activities, the children have learned about different types of tools, discovered how they work, and practiced using them safely to build and create.
One of the highlights of our learning has been a special visit from Titi, one of our maintenance team members. He has given a talk to both classes about his toolkit, showing the children how he uses different tools for his work. The children have been fascinated as he has demonstrated how to drill holes and hammer pieces of wood together. His visit sparked many curious questions and has inspired the children to experiment with their own building projects.
Throughout this unit, the children have worked with various materials to construct structures, from towers and bridges to creative designs of their own. As they have built and problem-solved together, they have developed spatial awareness, fine motor skills, and a sense of teamwork.
It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they have explored, constructed, and created and continue to do so. We are excited for our fieldtrip to EuroElektra on Friday 28 February where we will learn about renewable and sustainable energy sources.
