5YO: 5J is Getting in the Grove!

5JK is getting into the Elementary School groove! They have been practicing counting from zero to ten, showing the numbers with their fingers, and learning to write them. The 5's were astonished that their teachers let them write numbers on their desks! But the markers were erasable, and it was a fun way to practice those tricky numbers! To kick off Cultural Studies, the 5J students are thinking about the big question, "How can we make school a great place for everyone?” They have explored the school campus and identified some people who work on our campus, helping to make our school a great place. So far, they have met cafeteria workers and cleaning staff. Next up, the students will meet Mr. Juli and Mr. Maksi. The students have come up with questions that help them learn more about the jobs that need to be done to make our school run smoothly. The experience of meeting different staff members has also helped the 5J students learn why it's important to be helpful and responsible themselves.
