6YO: From Classroom to Crops

6YO: From Classroom to Crops

As part of their Science EO3 unit on Plant and Animal Structures, the 6YO classes enjoyed a field trip to Ferma Albanet. Guided around the farm, students engaged their senses — looking at, touching, smelling, and even tasting different crops. They also had the opportunity to observe a variety of animals, including peacocks, chickens, goats, a pony, and rabbits. Throughout the visit, students made meaningful connections to their classroom learning, such as identifying animal traits and thinking critically about how these features help the animals survive in their natural habitats.
