6YO: Exploring Our City, Creating Our Story

The students in 6MW have been having so much fun learning about Tirana during our “Our Special Location” unit in Cultural Studies! Over the past few weeks, they explored the many things that make our community special, including landmarks, foods, natural features, community helpers, and places that help people meet their needs and wants. The students worked hard to research, share ideas, and make connections to their own experiences in the city. To finish the unit, each student chose important symbols and created a special seal to represent all the wonderful things they learned about our community.  They drew inspiration from the TIS mural in the MPR room that they helped to paint earlier this year. We are so proud of their creativity, curiosity, and thoughtful work!
