8YO: Math in the Making: Zoos, Shapes & Games

Our 8-year-old mathematicians have been having fun reviewing their math skills through hands-on projects and games as we finish the school year. Students designed their own zoos, using perimeter and area to plan animal enclosures and pathways, and built dodecahedrons while practicing multiplication and division skills. They also enjoyed solving logic puzzles that challenged them to think critically and persevere when problems became tricky. To keep math practice engaging, students played games such as Multiplication Candyland and Division Jenga, helping them strengthen their fact fluency while having fun with classmates. These activities have been a great way to celebrate all the learning and growth that has taken place this year while building confidence and enthusiasm for math!
