9/10YO: Technology

Nine and ten year-old students are diving into the exciting world of technology with a focus on creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. Through the medium of simple programming using Scratch, our students are empowered to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively. They are learning how to create their own interactive stories, games, and animations while also having the opportunity to share their creations with the digital community. Our students are not only mastering fundamental programming concepts but also demonstrating their ability to utilize old concepts in innovative ways and integrate new techniques into their existing knowledge. They are animating characters within programs, both individually and collaboratively, to achieve various purposes. Furthermore, they are developing programs that respond to user input, whether from a single source or multiple sources, and incorporating sound and variables into their creations. Through these experiences, our 10-year-olds are gaining invaluable skills that will serve them well in the ever-evolving landscape of technology and beyond.
