9YO: Uncovering Earth’s Hidden Stories: A Journey Through Rocks and Fossils

Students in the 9-year-old TV Science classes have been working to make sense of their world by exploring rocks and fossils. They have been discovering how the Earth's landscape has changed over time, and how the patterns and layers found in the environment give clues to the land's ancient history. All of this exploration has taken us on several field trips to observe firsthand how erosion exposes layers in Peza Village, and to understand why certain fossils are often found in unexpected places, for example, aquatic fossils discovered in Petrelë, which reveal that the area was once covered by water.
