ELEM: Creative Harvest: Young Artists Shine in Festive Fall Project

Our young artists explored the elements of art this week, focusing on line and color value through a festive pumpkin patch art project. Students learned how artists use different kinds of lines to create movement and texture, and how light and dark shades of color can bring depth to their work.

This activity encouraged both esthetic appreciation and independent endeavor—students made creative choices about the shapes, sizes, and colors of their pumpkins, resulting in a field of unique and expressive artwork. Their pumpkin patches are now brightening our classroom walls, a cheerful reminder of how much beauty can come from learning and imagination!
