ELEM: MixMax Madness: German Practice Through Play

For their current unit of Native German, 7YOs are revising vowel spelling and learning about verbs. To practice in a fun way, the class played the card game “MixMax” to assemble as many comical mixed-up animals as possible. The students then picked their favorite one, came up with a name with many vowels for it and wrote about what this animal might do.  What do you think for example, a creature with the head of a snake, the neck of a dog, the body of a crocodile, and elk-legs might be up to?
