ELEM: Kindness and Teamwork in 7YO

The 7-year-old class (7 LW) has been working on establishing rules and procedures for each subject. I shared the story Swimmy with the class, and we created a bulletin board that shows the characters and the setting of the book. This story is a wonderful example of many of the Success Orientations that we focus on at TIS.  

This week we also participated in the Empower Kick off Assembly. We were all excited about the theme together for the month of September. Our class already has an idea of participating in the challenge, and we started to work on a bulletin board that would show the 35 acts of kindness. We also had the first Empower lesson, so we created essential agreements as a class. The students had fun participating in a Success Orientation scavenger hunt.
