Message from Mr. Rech 12/5

During Parent Teacher Conferences, I met with more than 30 parents who all shared the same concern. Many of you said, “My student is struggling with their digital life.” We see the same challenges at school. Students are often more focused on their devices than on learning and growing. Even when teachers are actively monitoring the classroom, students are quick to switch screens and continue playing games or browsing.

Hearing this from you and seeing it firsthand makes one thing clear. We need a meaningful solution that supports students in developing healthy digital habits.

This is where Class Cloud comes in. Class Cloud will allow teachers to support students in managing their digital life during class time. Students will no longer be able to access games during lessons, and their screens can be locked until the teacher is ready for them to use their device for learning.

Our goal is to help students build focus, responsibility, and balance in an increasingly digital world. We believe Class Cloud will be an important tool in creating that structure.

I know many of you have questions and concerns, and I would be happy to meet with you individually. This will also be a topic at our January AC Coffee on January 20 at 8:15. During this meeting, we will have an open conversation about Class Cloud and also talk about how to improve our students' digital life.

Thank you for your partnership and continued support as we help our students develop stronger digital habits.
