Message from Mr. Tempel 9/30
Greetings Middle School and Secondary Parents and Students!
Here is what's happening with our Middle School and Secondary students:
Week FOUR was a busy one and October is now in our sights! Happy Fall everyone!
European University Fair
Last Monday our Secondary students had the opportunity to participate in an online University Fair. Over 35 universities from all over Europe presented information about themselves for our students, giving them a chance to ask questions and learn more about possibilities in Europe after graduation!
A huge thanks to Ms. Tempel for organizing this wonderful event!
Department of Overseas Schools Presentation - Elisabeth O'Connell - University of Pennsylvania
Last Wednesday, we had another amazing opportunity for our Secondary students. The United States Department of State Office of Overseas Schools sent Liz O'Connell (University of Pennsylvania) for a virtual presentation. Secondary I & II students experienced a brief presentation about the university landscape in the United States. Our Secondary III and IV students participated in a mock admissions workshop explaining the admissions process, giving them tips and tricks from an expert in this area.
I hope many of you were able to join the parent/family presentation with Elisabeth O'Connell on Thursday evening. What a great chance to learn more about possibilities for your student's future!
Thanks, again, to Ms. Tempel for connecting us with the amazing opportunity!
All scheduled MAP tests have been taken. I will be pulling students next week who either didn't have time to finish their tests or may have missed a test for any reason. We will have all make-up MAP testing complete by October 14.
Thank you for your support at home during testing season!
Thank you all for taking the time to read. Please read weekly to stay informed!
I am excited for all the wonderful things that are coming this school year! Thank you so much for you support for our TIS community and your students!
