Dear Preschool parents,

Blue shirt day was a beautiful day in preschool, with some classes sharing items between each other, fieldtrips planned and a lot of 'Count on Me' singing going around. The finale on the field was very special with the whole school and inspiring to see and hear how we as a community are looking to support each other with kindness, empathy and understanding. Thank you for helping us make this day special by dressing your little ones in blue. Here are some notices and reminders:

Parent/Teacher conferences: Parent Teacher conferences are coming up on Wednesday October 22 and Wednesday October 29. You are also welcome to set-up a 15min meeting with specialist teachers, Ms Ortenca (PE),Mr Alban (Music),Ms Eva (Library),Ms Monika (STEM) as well as myself if you would like to discuss anything in particular with me. Sign-up sheets are on SchoolsBuddy – for preschool the meetings with the teachers are 25min giving a 5-minute transition for teachers to prepare for their next meeting. This conference is between parents and teachers only, no students. It will be a half day for students, with dismissal at 11:00am.
Trunk or Treat: We are looking forward to celebrating the TIS community at the Trunk or Treat event on October 25th! Keep in mind, that this is a TIS COMMUNITY event. Our TIS families and their household family members are invited to attend. We appreciate your understanding that the invitations cannot extend to the public. TIS vs WAT football match: TIS will be playing WAT on our campus Monday 20 October. Should you wish to join. Any preschool or elementary student who wishes to attend must be supervised by a parent/guardian.
Spirit Week: October 27 to 31 we will have our first Spirit week this school year. Students and staff can dress up accordingly: 27 Oct = Pajama Day (wear your PJs - bring extra clothes too); 28 Oct = Top it Off Tuesday (Have crazy hair or a fun hat); 29 Oct = Fall colors day (wear colors of Fall/Autumn); 30 Oct = Sports Day (Wear sporty attire); 31 Oct = Dress up day (wear whatever costume you would like. Please no toy 'guns, knives, swords' etc.)
No school Friday October 10: Due to staff professional development.
Fall break: There will be no school the week of 13 to 17 October for Fall Break.
