Message from Ms. Carmen 2/13

Dear preschool families,

I hope you all have had a wonderful week. I really enjoyed the discussion with parents during the preschool coffee chat. Feel free to send me other topics you might find useful. I am gathering some of the shared ideas from parents who attended and will send out the document next week.

This week has been one full of showing love in our different and unique ways. Some children have been extra polite, others have been giving out free hugs, making cards and pictures for friends and teachers and some classes went on a heart treasure hunt in the forest, while those who didn't this week will hunt next week. We don't want to get caught up in all the materialistic aspects of Valentines day, however, we do want to recognize how important love is and for the children to realize that feeling of when someone does something nice for you and makes you feel special, that you can do it back and make someone else feel special. 

Next week Thursday is the innovation fair. Preschool is not participating in this particular one, however we will be hosting our own one in the near future just for preschool students and then they will show parents during the student led conferences coming up April 1 and April 8.

For next week, if you would like your preschooler to see the innovation fair with you, please communicate this to your child's teacher latest Thursday morning. The time of the fair is during the nap/quiet time, so teachers need to know in advance who is leaving early. Please do not call during the rest times.
