Message from Ms. Jennie 8/19

Dear Preschool Families, 

My name is Jennie Fredriksson and I, along with the whole team, would like to wish you a warm welcome to the 2022-2023 school year at the TIS Preschool! ❤️

I am excited to continue as the Preschool Coordinator here at TIS, as well as teaching essentials and embarking on outdoor explorations together with our dear preschoolers. This is my 12th year working in early childhood education and my 8th working with preschoolers at TIS. I am from Sweden, married to Ilir, and have two children. Our youngest son, Ellis, will attend our preschool, and our oldest son, Elvin, the eight-year-old class. 

 

In our preschool, we have six classes: Sunflowers, Lilies, Marigolds, Tulips, Dandelions, and Daisies. The names of the classes stem from (pun intended!) us believing that children are unique like flowers, who grow and bloom at their own pace. We create a caring, engaging, and safe environment in which your child will have lots of fun learning through play and hands-on activities.

Monday, August 22- 

Preschool class assignments will be communicated via email.

Tuesday, August 23-

3:00 pm-4:00 pm New Family Orientation. Meet in the Gymnasium.

Wednesday, August 24-

10:00 pm-10:45 pm  3YO Returning Family Orientation. Meet in the Gymnasium

10:45 pm-11:30 pm  4YO Returning Family Orientation. Meet in the Gymnasium

Thursday, August 25-

First day of school!!! This is a half day and preschool dismissal will be at 11:20 pm. The preschool will continue to have drop-off and dismissal at the main entrance for 2YO and 3YO students, and at the playground gate (to the left) for 4 YO students. Parents are welcome to join their children on the preschool playground at the beginning of the school year until the students settle in. 

We are looking forward to seeing everyone next week and to a year full of learning, love and laughter!
