🌷🍀 Spring Break Edition & Trustworthiness at Home 🍀🌷

Dear TIS Elementary Families,

What a wonderful few weeks it has been in the Elementary! Our classrooms have been full of learning, creativity, and collaboration as students continue to grow both academically and socially. As we approach Spring Break, we hope your families are able to enjoy some well-deserved rest, time together, and perhaps a little sunshine.

 

🍀 How Families Can Support Trustworthiness During Spring Break

Spring Break is a wonderful opportunity to continue practicing these important character skills at home. Here are a few simple ways families can reinforce Trustworthiness during the break:

1. Practice Honesty
Encourage children to be truthful, even when it might be difficult. Celebrating honesty helps build confidence and trust.

2. Follow Through on Responsibilities
Children can practice responsibility by helping with small tasks at home, packing for outings, or remembering their belongings.

3. Keep Promises
If your child makes a commitment—whether it’s helping a sibling or completing a task—support them in following through.

4. Talk About Trust
Have conversations about why trust matters in friendships and family relationships.

5. Model It
Children learn the most from watching the adults around them. Modeling honesty, reliability, and integrity goes a long way.

When students return from break, we will continue celebrating the many ways trustworthiness is demonstrated within our school community.

💙 A Personal Message to the Community

I would also like to share a personal update with our school community.

After much thought and conversation as a family, the Hutson family will be moving to QSI Kosovo for the 2026–2027 school year where I will serve as the Director of Instruction. While this move came unexpectedly, we are approaching it with positivity and gratitude for the experiences we have had here at Tirana International School.

Serving the TIS community has been an incredibly meaningful experience for me both professionally and personally. Watching our elementary students grow, supporting teachers, and working alongside such dedicated families has been a true privilege. The warmth, collaboration, and spirit of this community make TIS a very special place.

Although we still have time together this school year, I wanted to take a moment to express how grateful I am for the opportunity to be part of the TIS community. I look forward to continuing our work together for the remainder of the year and celebrating all that our students will accomplish.

Thank you for the trust you place in our school and for the support you show our teachers and students every day.
