Hello, Wonderful TIS Families!

Spring has brought with it a season of exploration, adventure, and creativity for our elementary students—and this week was a perfect example!

9-Year-Old Field Trip to Peza Village
On Thursday, our 9-year-old learners ventured out of the city and into the natural beauty of Peza Village for a day of hands-on learning, discovery, and teamwork. Just 35 minutes from Tirana, this serene location gave students the opportunity to connect their Earth Science and Drama learning in a real-world setting.

Students explored small hiking paths, stopping to observe and reflect on how weathering and erosion have shaped the landscape. With clipboards in hand, they asked scientific questions about rocks and fossils, predicted how natural forces might continue to change the environment, and discussed the impact of wind, water, gravity, and ice.

After a picnic lunch, the group shifted gears and brought their creative energy to life with Readers Theatre. With the peaceful hills as their backdrop, students practiced skits with enthusiasm, using vocal expression and fluency to make their characters come alive.

Even more meaningful than the academic connections was the way our students supported each other—showing kindness, cooperation, and care throughout the day. It was a joyful reminder of how learning goes far beyond the classroom walls.

Sneak Peek: Mission Implausible!
Meanwhile, our 10-year-old students have been hard at work preparing for their upcoming stage performance: Mission Implausible! This clever musical combines all the mystery and excitement of classic spy tales—think James Bond and Mission Impossible—with an extra dose of fun, music, and imagination.

In this original production, four unlikely MI5 agents are on a mission to save kidnapped scientist Professor Sandy Beach from the villainous Dr Yes. The journey is filled with quirky characters, hilarious twists, and nine unforgettable songs.

All elementary students got a special preview this week—and we’re already buzzing with excitement! I have no doubt that our 10-year-old families will be delighted by the creativity, energy, and talent on display. The students have poured their hearts into this performance, and I know you'll be proud to see them shine on stage at the parent performance on Tuesday, April 15th. It’s sure to be a show to remember!
