Dear TIS Elementary Families,

What a wonderful week of learning, creativity, and celebration at TIS!

This week, our 6YO, 7YO, and 9YO students proudly shared their learning with families through a variety of showcase performances and displays. Across all three showcases, families enjoyed student artwork, violin and music performances, language presentations, and examples of classroom learning from throughout the year.

Our 6YO students highlighted their Cultural Studies learning through projects featuring traditional clothing and information about their home countries. They also shared descriptive writing, language displays, songs, and violin performances that reflected their growth and confidence as learners.

Our 7YO students entertained audiences with a collaborative performance of The Bunnies Musical while also showcasing poetry, autobiographies, artwork, violin performances, and language learning projects. Their creativity and enthusiasm were evident throughout the event.

Our 9YO students demonstrated the many skills they have developed this year through a drama performance, recorder and violin selections, artwork, poetry, and language presentations. Their confidence, collaboration, and stage presence were wonderful to see as they celebrated their final elementary showcase experiences before moving on to 10YO.

A huge thank you to our students, teachers, specialists, and families for supporting these special events. The showcases are always a highlight of the year because they provide students with an authentic opportunity to celebrate their learning and accomplishments.

Looking ahead, we are excited for our 10YO Showcase next week, followed by our 5YO and 8YO Showcases during the final week of school. We look forward to continuing these celebrations and sharing the amazing learning taking place across our elementary program as we finish the year together.
