Message from Ms. Meredith 5/15

Dear TIS Elementary Families,

It has been another exciting week in elementary filled with learning, teamwork, and memorable experiences!

šŸ Spelling Bee Excitement

Today, students participated in our Spelling Bee run-offs to determine the final two representatives from each grade level. The energy and excitement throughout the day were incredible! We are so proud of all of the students who challenged themselves and demonstrated perseverance, confidence, and excellent preparation. Congratulations to our finalists as we move one step closer to the final competition! šŸŽ‰

ā™»ļø 5YO & 7YO Field Trip

Our 5-year-old and 7-year-old students enjoyed an incredibly educational and hands-on field trip to the local waste management and recycling facility this week. Students had the opportunity to explore how waste is managed and learn more about environmental responsibility in our community.

One of the highlights of the trip was a hands-on sorting activity where students worked to separate food products, metal, paper, and plastic boxes into the correct categories ā™»ļø. Volunteers from each class participated in the activity and helped demonstrate proper recycling and waste sorting practices for their peers.

The students had a wonderful time exploring, learning, and participating in the activities throughout the visit, and many left excited to share what they learned!

🌈 Looking Ahead

As we move further into May, we continue preparing for end-of-year activities, performances, and celebrations. Thank you for your continued support and partnership throughout this busy and exciting time of year!

We hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Warmly,

Mrs. Hutson
