MS: 12YO Literature Novel Study

The 12-year-old literature class just completed an advanced novel study unit where they read and discussed novels of their choice in small groups. Students read their chosen book independently and prepared their thoughts, reactions, and analysis before each group discussion. During the literature circle discussions, students led and moderated their own groups, contributing their ideas about what they read and listening to the ideas of others.
