MS: 13 year olds in Art- A Study in Personal Visual Language

In this "Name Doodles" activity, 13-year-old students in Art Class merged design and self-expression by illustrating their names with symbols representing personal happiness - food, nature, and favorite objects. Students applied elements of art including line, shape, and color, layering watercolor blending techniques to create smooth gradient backgrounds behind their bold linework. The project emphasized communication, as students translated internal experience into visual symbol, and creativity in composition and color choice. Students will conclude with peer presentations, offering and receiving constructive response to strengthen their visual storytelling skills.
