MS: 11YO Literacy

For their literary analysis unit, 11yo students in Mr. Wood's class prepared informed claims about one of two characters from the highly popular book, Walk Two Moons,by Sharon Creech. Students carefully decided upon three character traits that fit Sal or Phoebe, and then went on to write a carafeully constructed essay analysis. In their 5-paragrpah essay they examined these traits in detail and used textual evidence and follow-up explanations to prove their points. They then had the opportunity to share their hard work in small groups with their peers. Way to go, 11yo writers!
