Presentation Skills: A Snapshot of Our Unit
The 13-year-olds explored the world of presentation skills. The module encouraged students to craft and deliver impactful presentations while utilizing tools like Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Prezi. The goal was to equip students with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and confidently while engaging their audience.
Students researched fascinating technology-related topics, such as the contributions of pioneers like Elon Musk, Steve Jobs, Alan Turing, and Ada Lovelace, as well as other significant figures and innovations. They also ventured into innovative fields, presenting on how technology is transforming industries—for instance, the use of microchips in horse care and the groundbreaking advancements in medicine powered by technology.
This unit provided a platform for students to refine essential skills, including planning, organization, and audience engagement, all while emphasizing the importance of technology in our lives. Their final presentations highlighted not only their growing technical proficiency but also their ability to communicate ideas with confidence and creativity.
