MS/SEC: Class with Mr. Shehu
Middle School IE
Over the past few weeks, Middle School IE students have completed their novel study and literary analysis unit. They read the book Wonder and analyzed key elements such as character changes and themes. Students also wrote literary analysis essays to demonstrate their understanding. Another group focused on developing various language skills, including speaking, writing, reading, and listening. Way to go!
MS and HS Literacy Support
Middle school literacy support students have been working on grammar and writing skills. They finished the year with a PowerPoint presentation covering different aspects of grammar, such as sentence types, parts of speech, Greek and Latin roots, as well as prefixes and suffixes.
In recent weeks, high school literacy support students have continued working on their literacy curriculum while expanding vocabulary in Mathematics, Science, and Cultural Studies. They also dedicate time to receiving help and closing units in other subjects.
Cultural Studies 13 with Mr. Shehu
Cultural Studies students have been focusing on developing their debating skills. They recently participated in debates on the topic, “Is social media the most powerful tool for change today?” This experience has helped them build confidence, critical thinking, and effective communication. Way to go!
