SEC: Tirana + Switzerland

Like many of our students look forward to Week Without Walls or other fun trips, Swiss secondary students look forward to their “Maturareise”, a week-long trip abroad in the final year of secondary school. This year, a group from the Kantonsschule Zürcher Oberland (the 3rd largest high school in the Canton of Zurich in Switzerland) had chosen Albania for their trip. In addition to the usual attractions in the Albanian Alps, the beaches, and Kruja, the students also wanted to meet some peers to learn more about what life in Tirana is like for locals and foreigners. What better place to visit then, than Tirana International School. And so, over a dozen of our Sec III and IV students decided to stay late this Tuesday to give the kids from Switzerland a tour of our campus and talk to them about life and education in Tirana. And since everyone got along great, they all met up again afterwards for dinner and a tour of Tirana!
