IB Economics Year 1

Year 1 IB Economics students have just wrapped up the introductory unit. Along the way, they have been introduced to important economic concepts like scarcity, choice, and opportunity cost. To close the unit our, students conducted an inquiry into the development of modern economic theory, concluding with a presentation to their classmates. From Adam Smith to Richard Thaler, students covered the major thinkers and concepts that conspire to form today’s economic theory. We are off to a great start and will move into microeconomics and the concepts of supply and demand.
