SEC: IB Biology in Action: Connecting, Reflecting, Collaborating

As we approach the end of the academic year, the IB Biology Year One students are wrapping up their final units on chemical and neural signaling. These units have given them the opportunity to connect theory with practice by investigating real-world examples of chemical and Neural signaling, bringing classroom concepts into meaningful context.

To strengthen their understanding, students collaborated to create a mind map, identifying both strengths and areas for growth. This collective effort allowed them to fill in content gaps together, reinforcing the collaborative spirit of the IB program.

Looking ahead, the IB Biology students will join forces with peers from other IB science courses in the Collaborative Science Project, beginning next week. This interdisciplinary project will be an exciting capstone to their first year, encouraging teamwork, creativity, and scientific inquiry across disciplines.
